  • RagaMuffins come in every color of the kitty rainbow.
  • Here at Snuggle Purrs RagaMuffins we are currently working mainly with the Mink colors.
  • Mink RagaMuffins have the distinguishing feature of Aqua colored eyes.

*Color Point:  This term describes color placement and intensity.  Color Point kittens are born pure white with color coming in gradually at the points    (ears, nose, feet, tail)     The Color Point has temperature sensitive pigment production.  The coolest area of the kitten are the first areas to have the color show.  (feet, tail, ears & nose)   The body of the adult Color Point has color but much lighter than the color of the points.  (The Siamese cat is a good example of the Color Point which most people are familiar with.)

*Mink:  Here we have a cat that is not a solid color nore is it quite Color Point.  The Minks also have a darker face, ears, legs & tail than the rest of their body.  At maturity the body is a rich dense even color with only slightly darker Points. They are not solid but nearly so.
Mink kittens - are born with medium light color, slightly darker at the points, but will continue to darken with age.

*Solid: These are born with all their color as it will be when they are adults.  aka: Full color.  (We will not have any solid kittens as we currently do not have solid males or females)

*Sepia:  The kittens are born with less pigmentation than full color but the color is evenly distributed (not just at the points).  When born they are a continuous tone as compared to Mink.  Sepia kittens are especially Rare due to the fact that the kitten must receive 2 recessive genes, one from each parent. To get Sepia a Mink Female & Mink Male need to be bred together.
