11-02-06 My name is Robert Cotter, I have been a veterinarian for 35 years and had my own practice for many of them. I've known Penny since she was in diapers, so I know her well. Her grandparents and parents farmed and I was their veterinarian. This allowed Penny to be involved in the care of animals large and small her entire life. An animal lover from little on.
Penny's cattery is the cleanest I have ever been in, there is no smell and everything is always immaculately clean. She actually added on an 80x40 addidion to her beautiful home allowing her cats and kittens live better than I do.
Currently I am an advisor to her cattery, she ranks as a highly qualified veterinary assistant. Penny has assisted me in a variety of surgical procedures through out the years and has a vast knowledge base. All her animals receive the very best care possible. She continues to research every aspect of feline health care and diseases. She is never afraid to call for expertise on any veterinary subject. Her kittens and cats are up to date on all vaccinations and are always in excellent health when I do health checks. She is currently receiving training on microscope usage for doing fecals, cytology, and other diagnostics.
I recomend Penny as the breeder of your next kitten or cat. With her you can't go wrong, you will be getting the very best. Dr. Robert Cotter, DVM |

8-14-05 I am so excited that I found Purfect Purrs Ragdolls and the Pomplin's!
When I first visited the cattery - I wasn't sure what to expect - what I found was an environment beyond anything I could have imagined!
These cats and kittens have a wonderful, impeccably clean and homelike atmosphere. Penny knows and loves each cat and kitten individually, and is a wonderful, knowledgeable person, who is a terrific educational source for the Ragdoll breed.
If you are even considering a Ragdoll kitten - do not miss the opportunity to visit this outstanding cattery - it is something all others should aspire to.
Thank You, Penny, for your patience and understanding in my quest for a Ragdoll kitten. Bobaloo is a blessing to our family!

8-05-07 I knew that Ragdolls were supposed to be 'hypoallergenic' in terms of cat allergy. I had read this and noted their docile nature. This was the reason we called Penny about a kitten. My then 7 year old daughter and 2 year old son were asking for a new pet. Our dog 'Bruno' had passed away of ailments relating to age. We had to give away the rabbit because of allergy. All family allergies improved without a fur-person (aka furson) in the house. Our Charis was determined, she offered to buy the kitten, if only I would allow her to get a Ragdoll. She saved her money from allowance and gifts through the year; until, I had to conceed she was serious- and we wanted to support her in pursuit of her goal....we called Penny. Penny met with us and discussed kitten/cat care with Charis. She listened to Charis' description of her ideal kitten. Penny promised to select the right 'purr-sonality' to fit w/charis' temperment and w/our family. I sat in the cattery for more than an hour WITHOUT ITCHY WATERY EYES, NOSE OR SNEEZING and when I got home, NO COUGHING, WHEEZING OR SNEEZING.
I have asthma as well as allergy. I have since been in the cattery for longer stretches without problems.
We adopted Isis Goddess of Love a seal-lynx point ragdoll September of 2006. She is a joy, she causes no allergy issue- I can rub my face all over her fur without worry. We loved her so much, I wanted a kitty of my very own....October of 06 Zephyr Purr Machine a RAGAMUFFIN joined our family as well. He is a Cream point. I named him Zepher because of his color and nature, he needed a name reflecting that he was a being of light. Zephyr is the west wind, usually a warm breeze. He is elegant and dignified and extremely handsome (he expects me to tell him this as I brush and groom him). I do this without sneezing. Our Charis thanks me daily for our pets (Zephyr was a surprise), "Mama, thank you for getting Isis and Zephyr- life wouldn't be the same without them!" I mean daily!! She is correct, they are integral members of our family. They were gentle with our then 2 and now 3 year old son Gabriel, even when he was less than gentle with them.
My testimonal regarding allergy/asthma may carry more weight if I disclose that I am a Nurse Practitioner. I know a bit about these things. I know how hard it is to recommend a "pet-ectomy" when families need to remove a pet due to allery/asthma issues. Yes, I had never thought that I would invest in any pure bred pet due to cost. Our previous pets were humane society rescues or mutts. My husband and I talked it through. The cost of medicine and office visits versus the initial outlay for a pet that would not trigger those problems. We didn't want to be pet free forever, we wanted to give our kids the joy of having these loving, soft and gentle creatures to play with and care for. We aren't disappointed. None of us have had any increase in allergy or asthma issues since welcoming Isis and Zephyr to our family. Now, I cannot speak for any individual person....perhaps you should discuss it with your provider/pulonologist or allergist....but I have told my patients who have allergy and want a cat about our ragdoll/ragamuffin pair.
I also want you to know that Penny and Mike have become terrific friends. And further, we made friends with others who purchased cats from Penny. Robin's family has siblings to Isis and Zephyr...so we feel like extended family!! :) We will be at the ACFA show in Neenah this fall, if you want to come see our kitties and ask me in person about issues noted here or other questions about the cats. There are a multitude of reasons to select a ragdoll or muffin, but more specifically- consider Mike and Penny - these cats are high quality, healthy, loved and cared for with extreme regard of what is best for the queens and kings and kittens as well as careful matching of kitten with forever-family. I recommend them!

12-10-08 Dear Penny, Dreamy Dusty Rose has been in our home for over one month. Besides her exceptionally beautiful appearance and stunning blue eyes, she also has a great personality, just as described in your words- super sweet, loving, forgiving and gentle. We love her so much. She is truely a wonderful gift from heaven. Losing my Mimi in June is the most sorrowful thing I have suffered in recent years. I had been so depressed since then. Luckily, I found your website, Purfect Purrs, from internet. And having Rose from you is the luckiest and happiest thing I have ever had since my Mimi passed away. Rose is priceless to us.
Best Regards, Hsing-Chung & Jenny

Penny- I know this testimonial is a bit overdue, but I have a good reason for that! This past July I adopted Briggs, my second ragdoll from Purfect Purrs. I am over the top thrilled with Mike and Penny, their cattery, and the kitties, and I wanted to write something very special and unique about my experience. However, reading all the other glowingly positive testimonials made me draw a blank at what else to say! It seems everyone was welcomed into the Pomplin's home like family. Penny is such an amazing, special person with the ability to genuinely befriend anyone. She listens patiently to any and all questions or concerns, knows everything there is to know about her cats, and returns emails and phone calls. She spends much time with the kittens, which is obviously very important, but also a lot of time with the adoptive "parents" which is equally important in order to make a good match. Everyone writes about being impressed with the cleanliness of the cattery, the quality of the breeding, and the overall great experience of adopting a kitten from the Pomplin's. Several people even have the common experience of being ill or at a low point in their lives, as I did, when one of these little guardian angel kitties came to help ease their troubles. Yes, it seems as though there is nothing unique to say about the experience of adopting from the Pomplin's because we all have enjoyed the same wonderful things! Then I realized what made each adoption so very, very unique and different....the kittens! Every kitten is so incredibly unique you can't even put it into words. My 2 ragdolls couldn't be more polar opposite, and I LOVE each of them dearly. Penny was able to steer me in the right direction because she knows all her kittens personalities and because she took the time to get to know me. The personalities of her cats are so developed because of all the devotion and love they are shown from even before they are born, and that love is then given back by the kitten to the new family in it's own unique way. I now can't imagine having only one ragdoll, and look forward to coming back to Purfect Purrs for my third someday! Thank you, Penny! Nicole, Emmy, & Briggs

I am a 65yr old pharmacist. This Spring my cat lost a race with a garage door. My wife and I were crushed, but not as badly as our cat, Goldie. I had told my wife on several occasions that I thought I would like to have a ragdoll cat sometime because I had worked with someone many years ago who owned one and he seemed like a neat cat. We have owned more cats than I can remember, but they were always adopted from the shelter or showed up at the door like Goldie and adopted us. My wife and I started our search for a new cat. I surfed the web and looked at many web sites. I sent e-mails to several that were close by and got no response. I called one breeder that was close by and it took repeated calls before I could talk to her. It was obvious that cats were a hobby and not her vocation. My wife said she thought the one web site she had found looked very promising (purfectpurrs.com) I visited the site, then sent an e-mail. I was blown away a few evenings later when Penny Pomplin called me. I had indicated that I was on medical leave and we talked about Goldie and my cancer. She said she had a cat for me and I told her I would be close to her house in June. I had never been to a cattery before and it was quite an operation. It was easy to see that for Penny, this was not only a fulltime job but a passion. She had asked me if I wanted a ragdoll or a RagaMuffin and I said I didn't care. She handed me a RagaMuffin male, which we named MacGregor, and it was love at first sight. MacGregor was not quite ready to leave his mother, so my wife and granddaughter drove up a few weeks later to get MacGregor. If you have never had one of these cats, you need to know: You are not buying a pet, you are adopting a new family member. In my 40yrs+ of pharmacy, I know many of my customers were always looking for happiness in a bottle and most never found it. I wish I could contact each one of them and tell them that I have found what they were seeking and it doesn't come in a prescription bottle. It's a four legged fur ball of fun, love and energy waiting for you at Snuggle Purrs.

After scouting the internet for Ragamuffin kittens, we chose to contact Snuggle Purrs and are very pleased we did. Our initial visit was via telephone with Penny. That brief conversation revealed how knowledgeable and dedicated Penny is to her specialty. We found her to be extremely helpful and she worked unselfishly to accommodate our wishes.
The results were fantastic in the form of two Ragamuffin kittens, Woodruff and Natasha. They are each so loveable, so receptive to human companionship and each is as the breed is described on the Snuggle Purrs website.
Ours was a beautiful experience working with Penny. We highly recommend the Snuggle Purrs Cattery to all cat lovers interested in Ragamuffins or Purfect Purrs for Ragdolls. Penny will make sure you are not disappointed.
Thanks Penny, You are always welcome to visit anytime at your convenience.

We finally went to get our baby on March 26th, and we were all so excited. We have a 7 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. This is their 1st kitty. I choose Penny because I could tell how much she cared about her cats and kittens. She answered all of my MANY questions. It was important that she wanted them to eat the best food available, and even drink the best water. This helped me to know that she had very healthy cats and kittens. She was always very patient and straight forward, which really is a plus if you have a hard time deciding on which kitten to choose, like me. We live a bit over 3 hours away and wanted Penny to help us choose the right kitten, so we only had to drive up once. Our little boy, Ollie, has a unique marking on his face and nose, and I just couldn't picture what he would look like over time, because of how Ragdolls colors change over time. Tho in my heart I felt he was the one for us(my son and husband knew right away). Penny felt very sure, and came right out and told me she thought he was the one. And she was so right! 2 or 3 days before we were to pick him up, she sent his newest pictures, and I wanted to cry with happiness, and a bit of relief, to see how beatiful and hansome he was. He is just the sweetest boy, and so good and funny and "floppy" He loves to play and snuggle and the kids can pick him up any time. He doesn't run away when people come over, he wants to see who it is. Penny dose just a wonderful job at her cattery. Her cats are beautiful and sweet, and she cares so much about them AND the families looking to purchase one of her "babies". We are so very happy with Ollie. He AND Penny were worth the wait, and the drive. Thank you Penny, Dave, Gina the Kids, and Ollie too of course!
8-23-06 To all of you from Wi. to Alaska & beyond, if you are reading this you are looking high & low for the most BEAUTIFUL, PERSONABLE, INTELLIGENT LOVEABLE PERSON PLEASING Kitten you will ever adopt in your life!! Not to mention you have just struck GOLD! Very briefly I would like to tell you a little about myself which will lead you right in to the reason I say you've STRUCK GOLD!!!!! In the start of 2003 I was struck down w/a very rare disease, it was a total shock as I've always been healthy & in a matter of 24 hrs I was given a 10% chance to live and stunned my doctors by surviving. The only thing that has been keeping me alive & comfortable is an arsonal of drugs it's just nuts. My surgeon did however prescribe YES, A RAGDOLL KITTEN! IT IS THE BEST SCRIPT I've recieved in 3 1/2 years!!!!!!! I want to start by saying Penny & Mike Pomplin are by far the MOST HONEST, CARING, & KNOWLEDGEABLE couple I've ever talked w/& I've had cat's for 30 yrs. plus. Penny has been there for my every question, concern or to share exciting and hysterical experience's w/ her Cat's & kept me informed constantly from the time M&M was concieved to the very day I received one of the greatest joy's of my life. She has taken the time to call &check on us & answer any ?'s I may have. She always takes time out of her BUSY schedule to hear the fun & exciting new things M&M is already doing.
Bottom line: you will have a next to impossible time finding anyone in the country or nation that will spend the time with you that Penny so sweetly & gracoiusly does! If I were to move to Australia & wanted to purchase another kitten I WOULD STILL CONTACT PENNY- ABSOLUTELY NO EXAGERATION- SHE IS EVERYTHING I SAID EARLY ON AND MORE!!!!!!!! I will be 4-ever thrilled that I came across the PURFECT PURRS RAGDOLLS while searching web. I am above certain that if you make just 1 call to recieve information needed when you are done with the1st call it will only be the beginning of many calls back & forth. Robin & Mighty Mite aka M&M
1-27-07 Our family has recently been blessed once again! A Cream Mink RagaMuffin from Penny & Mike Pomplin his name is Tender Heart. The reason for my saying once again is that last summer we received our 1st Ragdoll Mighty Mite also from the Pomplins! 1st I would like to start by saying that I personally am a Purfect Purrs addict! You'd have to try REAL hard to convince me that there is a cattery that could be as wonderful as this one! I have visited the cattery many times & it is absolutely OUTSTANDING not to mention CLEAN & oh so cozy it gives you a warm & fuzzy feeling! You can feel the love Penny has for her family of kitty's with in seconds of walking in as all of them (adults & babies alike) are so loving, intelligent, socialized & so well cared for it is absolutely awesome! I also want to mention if anyone who is reading this has allergy issues I want you to know that if it were not for the Ragdoll & RagaMuffin breeds mine & my daughters dream of owning a cat would NEVER have come true. My daughter had allergy testing done and the ONLY thing she is allergic to is cats & I mean severely so!!! She sleeps with our baby's every night cuddles them every chance she can and nothing, no allergic reactions at all!!!!! Put her in the same house as any other breed she gets hives, swollen eyes, lips, tongue, shortness of breath making her need an inhaler. To much more to mention other than she has not had one reaction our boys so believe it when you read or hear that Ragdolls & RagaMuffins are the cat for people allergic to cats! There have been so many blessings in our lives since we found Penny's cattery almost 1 yr ago! Call Penny at Purfect Purrs & you too will be hooked, not to mention filled with Purebred knowledge!!!! Bill, Robin, Reily, Mighty-Mite & Tender Heart
6-01-07 Dear Penny, Sorry it has taken so long to write and tell anyone who is interested in getting a kitten why they should get one from you. I am a very shy person as well as my husband. My husband has never had a pet before. I really wanted a dog but my husband refused. So I started looking on the internet searching for a pet my husband would except as well as me being happy. I started looking a cats when I came across Ragdolls. They are just like having a dog but better! They run to the door when you have visitors or enter your home. They are quiet except when they purr....... They play ball and even bring it back. They don't shed like regular long hair cats. So I convinced my husband in getting a Ragdoll kitten. I had looked into many websites when I seen Penny and Mikes Cats. They were so beautiful and knew I wanted one! Being that I am very shy, I couldn't even call her. I had to email her. To my amazement she called me the same day! She is so easy to talk to and made me feel like a forever friend right from the start. I had so many questions that I was worried that I was annoying her. She said she loved that I ask her questions and that I could call her anytime if I had more. You can tell she loves her cats that she wanted me to know everything about them and about the breed. I was convinced that this is where I wanted to get my kitten. Penny called me personaly on July 16th, 2006 to let me know my kitten was born. She sent pictures on a weekly basis, which was so great. I could bond with my kitten even though she was a state away. We named our kitten " Queenie" . It seemed like forever until she was old enough to come home. Getting pictures weekly helped!!! Penny's kittens are so beautiful that it was hard to choose. I wanted them all !! We picked up Queenie on October 16th 2006. For never having a pet, I felt we were well pepared because of all the information Penny given us before we got our kitten. It took 5 hours to get there and it was all worth it! Meeting Penny was like seeing a friend I haven't seen for years. It was amazing!!! Seeing her cattery, you can tell that her whole heart goes to her cats and kittens. The place was clean and well organized. The kittens were all playful and happy!! When I seen Queenie my heart just melted. It was love at first sight!!! She was just perfect. It wasn't until we got home that I would realize how much we would love our Queenie. Penny had called her by name in the cattery that she came by her name right away. Queenie does everything and more of everything a ragdoll cat should do. She is so loveable, love to watch her play with my 20 year old son. He actually gets her to run after him and then he chases her. She loves it! I have 3 grandchildren and they love to pick her up and sometimes get rough with her. She has never once scratched them. When they spend the night Queenie sleeps with them. She loves being on the edge of the tub when anyone is taking a bubble bath. She even got into the shower with me and was mad when I kicked her out. We bought an automatic litter box and she took to it right away. She even uses her scratch posts and not our furniture. I have been disabled since January of this year. Queenie has been there for me each and everyday. It's like they know when your not well. These kind of cats are so people pleasing that it would be so hard not to love them. The worse part is you'll want another one. The best part is my husband loves her so much that Queenie is the first one he greets when he gets home. My husband thought he'd never want a cat but trust me if he could fall in love with a ragdoll anyone can. You won't regret it ever!!! Especially if you get one from Penny!! She goes all out and makes sure you are happy with your kitten. She wants to know how your kitten is doing even when you go home. She uses Life's Abundance Cat food. So glad she does. Not only do we have a healthy cat, we didn't have to worry when their was that big scare when pet food had to be taken off the shelfs. Life's Abundance let us know right away we did not have to worry about their food. No store would do that!! If you are looking for a pet that's not just beautiful but loves you as much as you love them, my first choice and only choice would be Penny's and Mike's Cattery. Not only will you get the perfect pet but you will get a wonderful friend. I am so looking forward to getting another kitten!! I know my second experience will be just as wonderful as the first! Thanks so much Penny and Mike for bringing Queenie into our life!!! It was the best decision we ever made!!! Sincerly Sherri and Loy

I want to thank Penny for our blue/cream RagaMuffin. Shaina is playful, very sweet, we can hug her and she does'nt care. She was shy when we got her and still is alittle when there is a big crowd of people. When there Isn't alot of people she will go up to them. She listens very well. If she goes up onto the table I just say no Shaina and she gets down. She knows not to go back up, she will just sit on the seat. She follows us around and has to be where we're at. She will lay low at the top of the stairs and when we come up the steps she will jump up at us, playing a hiding game, it's so cute. We had Shaina flown in on November 11, 2006 and was born July 22, 2006. She is 6 1/2 months old now and weighs 9.5 lbs. Penny was very sweet and and joy to talk to and I love how she did a CD w/pictures and a photo album. I also thought it was great for her to put a baby blanket with the mother & father's scent with a stuffed animal in the crate she was flown in with. I will send pictures of her shortly. She is beautiful. Thank You for being you and for being so wonderful to talk to and making the process of getting a kitten a joy.

3-30-2007 Dear Penny! It took me a little bit longer than it should to write a thank you letter. I don't even know if it possible to find the right words or even Thank You enough for the love and joy we received and keep receiving from the kitten and beautiful family who delivers that happiness to "our" families. I would not be wrong by saying "our" families as I read all letters from families who had and some will be having that pleasure, and I could even say Luck, to bring that pleasure by knowing you into their families . A little bit about me and my little daughter,Margaret- a five years old, who is actually the one we both should say thank you, that brought our family across the Penny and her incredible cattery. My daughter one day asked me for a kitten. At that time she was only 4 years old. I didn't really pay much attention to her request as kids have the tendency always ask for something. Besides a kitten is not a toy and request a lot of love, attention and care. It's another person in your family, not more, not less as your another baby. But she was coming to me with that request every day than I realized its not a joke, it really series. But I still didn't take that serious enough,so I gave my daughter six month. I couldn't tell you what I went through that I finally give up and start look for a right kitten. For us it was not hard to find a cat as we already know what kind of personalities we were looking for. The problem was to find a right breeder. I went through a lot of different catteries. I also forgot to mention that I live in Brooklyn, NY. Even though I knew the breed we would like, didn't make our research easier for a kitten. Actually it make even harder as we were looking for only specific color and as I mentioned before personalities. It is not easy to find the type of kitten that Penny and Mike have. I was frustrated and tired of doing my nowhere to go researches. Then one day here she is-Penny and her incredible cattery. All the love and beautiful personalities that this family have they transfer to their cattery and to us. We brought our beautiful Lucy to our home in August of 2006. She is incredible, loving and caring girl. When we leave the house she's by the door to say goodbye and loves to give a kiss. When we come home she always meets us. When my daughter takes a bath every day Lucy is there first to take a bath and staying by my daughter side until she's out of the bathroom. She likes to play with water, bubbles and my daughter's toys. She is sleeping with my daughter on her pillow. I think it will be not enough paper to describe how incredible she is, sweet and loving. The love that Panny and Mike have reflects on their loved ones even before they are born.
Thank you very much for all your love and letters that we keep getting, for your attention and unconditional love you given to what you do .We want to wish you the happiest and healthiest years and all the best that possibly exist in this world. Albina

We recieved our kitten "Oliver" (a RagaMuffin) yesterday from Penny. He is absolutely beautiful. He is the best kitten I have ever seen. He rode awesome in the car. He sat on my lap the whole time (2 hours). When we got home, he jumped up on the couch and snuggled inbetween us. He scooted over closer to me several times to cuddle. He flips on his back and lets me rub his belly. He hasn't scratched anything! I swear it seems as if he doesn't have claws! It's truely amazing. My last cat was 21 years old and this kitten is 3 times as friendly as he was. Penny must have spent every waking hour with this kitten to make him this friendly.
I was very impressed with Penny's home also. It's a very nice home with a lot of space for the cats. They each have their own fish, toddler beds, air purifiers, and water fountains to drink from! These cats live in luxury. We got to play with several of the kittens and I wanted them all! I have never seen so many adorable kittens. I would recommend getting a kitten from Penny. Our kitten is the most well behaved, friendly pet we've ever had. I will get another kitten from Penny when we get our second cat. This was the best decision I've ever made. I am soooo glad we've got the kitten of our dreams.
It seems like Penny must spend every waking hour with these cats. Take a vacation Penny! You're doing great! Thank you very much for everything you gave us. The photo album was adorable. I will treasure it forever.
Thank you so much for everything Penny! Thank you for raising our kitten to be so friendly, loving and easy going! I will see you when we get our next kitten!

Snuggle Purrs is an amazing Cattery and Penny really knows her cats!! I had researched many other breeders on the Net before I stumbled across Penny Pomplin. To my surprise, they were located in Wisconsin and not that far away!! I immediately called her and she was so sweet and helpful. I was originally interested in a Ragdoll, but fell in love with a Ragamuffin. When you visit the Cattery, It is not at all what you would expect. She treats her cats like family and their spotless and well decorated "homes" show how much she cares for these creatures. The Kittens are housed in a nursery that is so cute and charming and the adults have their own decorated bedrooms. This little community is so precious. The amazing part is that Penny knows every cat in the cattery. After I picked my kitten, I had a hard time remembering which one was mine!! Penny knew right away!!
I have kept in touch with Penny and I can contact her with any question or concern that I may have. She loves to hear the updates on how "Capone" is growing and adapting to his new home. She does not just sell you a cat and send you on your way. With the purchase of your kitten, you get "Tech support" whenever you need it.
The Ragamuffin is a very special feline. Sometimes Capone acts more like a dog than a cat. He is always by my side and loves to be loved. He meets us at the door when we come home, and sleeps with us at night. I have three other cats and a two year old human, he loves them all!!! He is so patient and tolerant with my daughter, he is her best friend. My husband wanted a "muffin" because of it's size potential...MEN!! Well, Capone is already 7 lbs and is only 6 months old!! He is on track to be the huge "love sponge" we wanted. I would recommend Snuggle Purrs and Penny Pomplin to anyone searching for a Ragdoll or Ragamuffin.
Save yourself some precious time, THEY ARE THE BEST!!!

Penny and Mike are truly wonderful people. I'll just briefly tell you about our experience. My Daughter Gracie is 4 years old, in the past 5 months she has had a lot to go through. She has been diagnosed with a renal(kidney)system defects. She has had 4 surgeries at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee, and she seemed to hit every complication with her surgeries.but now is finally on the road to recovery. During this time we also had 2 very big "losses" , our cat of 15 ½ years passed away right before Christmas and then a few short days later my Father (Gracie's Papa) passed away. Both deaths were extremely hard on us all.especially for Gracie. In fact in her young mind she thought whoever goes to the vet or whoever gets sick will die and go to heaven, and be an angel.
Recently, When our dog hurt its leg I had to take her to the Vet, at the Vet office Gracie had an anxiety attack thinking our dog was going to heaven and would be an Angel. After she was reassured that our dog wouldn't die, she then was afraid that our dog would be having test's, tubes, IV's and operations like she did at the hospital and got more upset. The Vet himself got quite upset that Gracie was so upset, so after explaining to our vet what Gracie has had to go through over the last few months he said we should think of getting her a new kitten, I told him I wasn't sure if Gracie could care for a kitten, as she would want something snuggly and something that wouldn't always be running away. He then suggested a "rag doll" cat. Not knowing what a Ragdoll cat was, I said "she already has lots of stuffed animals". He laughed then explained that they were a breed of cat.
That is when we got in touch with Penny. She was GREAT! She has made a huge difference in our life. On March 24th we got our new Ragdoll kitten to love, and Gracie can watch her grow, and they already are the bestest of friends. Gracie thinks it is so special that her new kitty had an operation (spaying)on her tummy just like she did! Mimi (that is the name Gracie picked for her new kitty)is always where we are.she never hides or runs away. And the best part is she is so loving, Mimi will lay next to Gracie when Gracie needs a rest and then she'll let Gracie carry through the house like a "rag doll"!
Penny & Mike will now be in our life forever, as they showed us so much kindness, support and compassion. I just can't thank them enough. They helped us get the perfect cure for our daughter(and the whole family), as well as a best friend for Gracie.
You can do a lot of research to find yourself the perfect Ragdoll cat breeder.but I don't think you will ever find a better breeder and friend than Penny. I strongly believe the friendship part is huge.as you want someone you can talk with, ask questions and keep in touch with over the next 15-20 years of your cat's life. Words can't express the huge impact she has made for our little girl. In today's world it is so reassuring that there are truly good people out there.they may be few and far between but Penny is one of those truly good people. Good Bless you Penny and Thank you so much!

5-31-06 My husband, daughter, and I met Penny about a year ago. My husband finally agreed that we could get a kitten, so I began looking on the internet for different kittens. I wanted a breed that was super good with kids/loving, and I had heard long haired cats produced less dander as my husband is allergic. I happend across Penny's site and was very impressed. She helped shed light on the breed and it sounded like just what we were looking for. Very loving socialized cats and possibly no allergic reaction. So, I contacted Penny and soon we were there looking at her kittens. When we got there we were very impressed. The kittens/cats home was beautiful...and they were all very loving and friendly, it was truly amazing. Penny is the most caring, friendly, outgoing person. She answered all our questions, she is so knowledgeable and helpful...it really made our quest for a gentel kitten increadably easy.
I told her that I was looking for a kitten who was super lovey, super tolerant (due to our 2 year old daughter) and just really nice all around. And man did she hit the nail on the head. Koda is all of that and more. My daughter drive him nuts and yet he doesn't hiss, scratch, bite, or growl and in fact he is super protective of her...and most nights he prefers to sleep with her. Also, my husband has not been allergic to Koda once! He pets him, carrys him and everything.
I wanted to wait to write this testomonial until about a year had passed. Because things change and you never know what happens in the future. However, Koda is just as loving as the day we picked him up. Penny does a wonderful job and gave us an A+++++++++ experience.
Thanks Penny! We appreciate everything!
Thanks, Brian, Jessica, Hollie and Koda Netzel :)
4-1-06 Our Bella is everything you said and more!!! We just love her so much!! I just can't believe her nature and how loving and sweet she is. She has just a beautiful personality!
I wish you could see her, whenever someone comes over she sure isn't shy...she'll go right to them. She even sit on their lap. It's so amazing! I am so happy I have her!!! I just love her to bits! Oh, and she's doing that ragging out where she'll just drop and go on her back and I'll just rub her belly and she purrs. She is very special!!!
Bella has really bonded with me. I'll call her Bella, Bella Lilly and talk to her saying "are you my ragdoll?" and she'll just keep answering with her little meow, and she just keeps talking with her meow. One day I was on my way to work and called home from my cell, I left a voice message. My husband Terry said that while I was talking on the answering machine Bella was looking around and talking. She's just too cute!!!
She's so funny. Needless to say she's the little Princess around here with all her toys!! I'll be eating dinner and all of a sudden she jumps up on my lap just purring away.
Thanks for all you do with your kitties, because of you Penny we have our little Bella!!

3\18\06 The reason I've waited over 1 year to write my testamonial was to give my two boys , Centurion and Spartacus time to grow and mature alittle. Well, here we are, 1 year later , and both are handsome , well mannered , muscular , 16 pounder's with 2-3 more years to reach full maturity ! ! They've had no health problems what-so-ever and love to play , ( especially with my young grandchildren who are 3 , 6 and 8 .The cats coat colors are getting richer , darker and more defined as they have grown . I adopted 2 Ragdoll males for temperment , large size, and handsome qualities. I sure got what I wanted and then some ! ! My daughter Jennifer and husband Jerry adopted Crystal a beautiful female from the same litter of 5 ( 3 males and 2 females ). Penny operates the best cattery there is , anywhere , period . Penny's love and expertise is above and beyond approach . My phone number is available through Penny for any questions you may have . Oh , by the way , I was able to pick up my boys when Penny said they were ready which was when they were 16 weeks old don't forget those family keepsakes , E-mails and photos , beautiful baby album with 2 weeks apart photos , photo CD and mother scented baby blanket. The E-mails and E-mail photos really help you get through the wait for your precious kitten or kittens !! Only a dedicated breeder would come up with such a personal touch at no extra cost !! Sincerely , Joe Bonin
1/1/06 What a purrrrrfect way to start the New Year off...with a beautiful kitten adopted from the most wonderful breeder we've ever met! When we found the Purfect Purrs website we were immediately impressed with how informative it was. After emails and phone calls we were on our way to see the kitten who is now a part of our family. The Pomplins' have an impressive cattery and the loving care and attention given to ALL the kittens (AND their parents!) reflects in their beautiful blue eyes. We were given a "care package" the day we picked up our kitten..complete with a 'baby book' and 'baby blanket'. How SWEET! When we're ready to expand our family again we will definitely be back to PurfectPurrs..it doesn't get any better than this!! Thanks again Penny for bringing Cricket into our lives...we love her soooo much! Thank you ....for being you. Jill & Cam
2-09-06 When I came to Penny for a kitten, I was a WRECK. My British shorthair had passed away three months earlier and I had tried another Brit kitten from Illinois the same week that my previous cat passed away. However, the Brit kitten was aggressive towards my dog (slash husband, since this dog is the greatest guy I know) : ) and I needed another cat who was going to be nice to my dog. So I quickly returned the British kitten and some months later searched for "dog-like cats" and "dog-loving cats" on the Internet. I found Ragdolls and then I found Penny.
Penny let me (and my dog/husband) come up to see the kitten I was thinking of getting. Neurotic doesn't even begin to describe my decision making process, but Penny was beyond patient and did not even put me in a straight jacket. I took home the kitten and was still unsure...that is until the kitten showed me who he is.
When I pet my dog's face (as an apology for getting another pet), the kitten looked straight at me and reached out his paw and stroked the dog's face at the same time. This touched me so much I started crying and wiping my tears. The kitten mimicked me again and wiped my tears and then licked his paws. It was AMAZING and I fell in love at that very moment.
Since then, the kitten (now named "Mowgli" after the ferrel child in The Jungle Book) has hung from toys hanging out of my dog's mouth, has played tug of war with my dog, has made an eBay purchase by again insisting he mimmick me on the computer, and has a tendancy to erase all of my voicemail messages by running up to the machine when it is recording, hitting the play button, and then running across the Delete button. I don't get many phone messages any more and I do have a kitten who occasionally likes to wade in the toilet, but I get a TON of love and now have an animal that I love as much as my dog. "Mowgli is also the best car rider and dashboard navigator. He loves nothing more than running errands and will reach out for the tube at the bank. If he sees the dog and I getting ready to leave he is very disappointed if he's not included, but is waiting for us and is looking out the window when we return."
If it had not been for the patience of fellow cat/dog/horse lover Penny, I may not have taken a chance on another kitten. I didn't think any kitten could live up to my expectations. Mowgli met and FAR surpassed them. I am now in love with the Ragdoll breed and would purchase another kitten from Penny in a HEARTbeat.
Thanks, Penny....for my kitten and my sanity. : )
Rondi ------ ------- ------- ------- 12-29-06 Penny, Mowgli had a wonderful time at Xmas. (I think he had a much better time than the rest of us). : ) He LOVED my mom's doberman and tried to make friends with her cat, but Newton (the other cat) was just crabby. Mowgli would chirp and say hi but couldn't get to the other cat who just kept running away (which is just as well, I realize). Mowgli's biggest adventure was a long walk through the woods (on his leash) and TOBOGANNING. He got a tobagan for Xmas and spent the rest of the time asking to go outside where I'd pull him as fast as I could go. It was a riot. Ears back. Eyes narrowed. Sitting upright and sucking up the wind in his fluffy chest. He LOVED it. From then on when we'd walk in the woods and when he'd get tired, he'd just hop on the toboggan until he'd had enough of a rest and then he'd walk (I really mean RUN) on his own again. He was WONDERFUL in the car and really enjoyed his trip. He is such a wonderful cat. Anyway, that was our big adventure. All is quiet and well again. I can't believe another year is over. I've almost had Mowgli for a year now!
Happy New Year! Rondi
12-21-05 From the first phone call, you feel right away like you've found the right person to purchase a kitten from. Courteous emails, phone calls, and helpful information will follow. Of course you never go by phone calls and emails alone, so a visit to Penny's home will only help to reinforce your first instincts about buying a kitten from Purfect Purrs.
To say the cats are well cared for is a huge understatement. You can tell that Penny takes great passion in the care of the cats, treating each kitten as if it was going to be theirs forever, and not just "Another kitten". The kittens, and parents have nearly every cat comfort you can imagine. I've dealt with several breeders, from various states in the past, and I can say hands down there hasn't even been a close second in terms of knowledge, care, and quality. Don't just take my word for it, give them a call and research for yourself. I think you'll soon agree.
Looking forward to many great years with an adorable blue point Ragdoll from Purfect Purrs. Thanks Penny of Purfect Purrs for making finding a new kitten such a wonderful experience!!
Lou
1-05-06 Dear Penny, I can not Thank You enough for the joy you have put into my life. My new Ragdoll Ethel is full of sweetness, love and affection. Really! Lucy (my other cat) loved Ethel immediately. It is only days and they are almost inseperable.
2005 was not a good year for me but the kindness you have given to me throughout the year is overwhelming. What a wonderful way to remember New Years Day. I know 2006 will be better. I was so impressed with the love that both of you have for your Ragdolls. What a wonderful and charming envionment for your cats and their kittens to live to live their first important weeks in. Your cattery is obviously built, maintained and decorated with love. There is certainly not a shortage of playthings for the kittens. Penny spoils them. I know this is more than a job for you because of all the love you put into caring for your Ragdolls and because of that love I am sure your cattery will be very successful.
Numerous months ago, Penny Pomplin was the "cat lady". You are now my "friend." You are not simply a Ragdoll breeder-that is too simple. You are a Ragdoll lover. Not just one cat but every single cat and kitten. The "apartments" the cats live in are so charming and to watch them all play and be happy and healthy was a joy.
Thank You so much for my "Baby Album." What fun to show off Ethel to everyone at work.
I have read your testimonials and know that your kindness extends beyond me, your love extends beyond your Ragdolls to their new parents. I am sure we all wish that you and Mike receive all the love and goodness that you have given to all your Ragdolls and their new parents.
Happy New Year and God Bless.
Beth
9-12-05 On September 2, 2005 Penny helped make a lifelong dream of mine come true.I became Stormy's adoptive mom! He is an absolute joy to our entire family and has been so well adjusted from the moment he set foot in his new home. I started this whole adoption process back in May of 2005. After many days and hours of searching on the internet for the perfect breeder, I contacted Penny. She has been such a wonderful person to go through this process with and has also become a very good friend. When I first contacted her the kittens were not due for about 2 weeks. Over the 14 weeks that I waited for Stormy, Penny spent many hours on the telephone with me and did lots of e-mailing. I probably drove her nuts, always wanting to see new pictures and know details of my kitten's development. Yet she never complained and always made time to talk, answer questions, and keep me satisfied with pictures. I'll never forget the joy I felt when she called and put the newborn kitten to the telephone so that I could hear its little meow! We first visited the kittens when they were 6 weeks old. Penny and Mike were very gracious hosts and allowed us to stay and visit for several hours that day, while I tried to make up my mind on which kitten would become my new baby! The environment that they provide for their cats and kittens is absolutely wonderful! They truly treat them as family and provide for them in the same manner. This was exactly the kind of home I wanted my new baby to come from! In my mind, this is the type of home that all animals should have!
All the things that Penny provided to me from telephone calls, e-mails, pictures, a baby album, a disc with all the photos of my kitten from birth, a little baby blanket that smelled like his mom, the opportunity to visit with her family and see her cattery and cats, and the bond of friendship we’ve formed through this adoption process have meant so much to me. I don’t know how I could ever thank her enough!
If you are considering adopting a Ragdoll kitten, please don’t look any further….you’ve found the PERFECT home to get your new kitten from! PURFECT PURRS is most certainly a 5 star cattery with 5 star service!
Thank You Penny !
You truly are the BEST!

9-12-05 As the owners of a beautiful new Ragdoll, Aslan, we would like to thank Penny for the opportunity for this gift in our lives. As Nathan comes from a family that breeds giant dogs called Leonbergers. He has personal knowledge of the breed/breeder relationship. If you have the opportunity to meet Penny and visit the cattery, you will find true love and devotion to the Ragdolls and witness a top notch breeding and living environment for both cats and kittens. It was immediately obvious to us that we had found the type of person and environment that we would like our cat to come from. Upon Aslan's arrival in our home, I knew we had made the right choice. He is calm, caring and well adjusted to his new home, as would be expected when coming from a home such as Penny's.
If you are considering opening your heart and home to a Ragdoll, we suggest talking with Penny. She is extremely knowledgeable, very patient and approachable by those who would offer a good home to a high quality cat. If you seek out other breeders, as we did, to educate yourself, you will soon discover how high a caliber Purfect Purrs cats are and how others pale in comparison.
Thank you Penny for our loving Ragdoll!!
Sincerely, Tracy & Nathan

Penny, We just want to thank you so much for giving us our dear Frankie. Ever since we brought him home on October 22, he has been so warm and loving with our whole family and this is testament I believe, to the healthy and highly socialized environment you provided for him since birth. His favorite game is playing fetch with an aluminum foil ball that I throw for him. Day or night he faithfully retrieves it and places it at my feet (he think's he's a dog!). We wanted to let you know that your uncompromised level of detail in every aspect of the adoption process made us feel extremely comfortable that we were choosing the right breeder. Thanks for caring so much.
Warm Regards, Bill, Nancy and Amy Goszinski
8-1-05 A big THANK YOU to Penny! I had been doing a lot of research for Ragdolls on the internet. While doing a search, I came across Penny’s website. I really wanted to call her number and inquiry about her kittens but, I was really nervous and was not sure what to expect. The minute Penny answered the phone, we hit it off. She was very friendly and very willing to answer any and all questions. She even told me I could come anytime and check out her home and all the cats and kittens. After I hung up the phone, I knew she was someone I could trust. A few days later, my kids and I came to Penny’s home. I was very surprised to see the wonderful setting they had for all their cats and kittens. I tell you, these cats and kittens had it all! They had their own decorated living quarters and all the toys they could handle. Each room had a different theme, right down to the wall decorations. It was something else. I could really tell that Penny and her family really loved all their cats and kittens and really gave them a lot of love and attention. After seeing all this, I knew my new kitten was going to be coming from a great home. During the whole time while we waited until we could pick up Princess, Penny kept in contact with me via e-mail and phone. She would keep me up to date by e-mailing me pictures of Princess. It was awesome! The kids and of course myself, really looked forward to receiving the pictures. I also took the kids to see Princess a few times before we could take her home. On June 21, we could finally take Princess home. The minute I picked up Princess and held her in my arms, she started to purr and she fell asleep. At that moment, I know everything was going to be fine. Before we left, Penny went over some last minutes instructions and also she gave us Princess’s baby blanket and a baby book she had made. It was totally awesome! What a nice "extra". I could tell when we left that Penny was sad and it was hard for her to see Princess go. When we got home, Princess made herself at home. She was running all over the house checking it out.
The first few nights she slept with me either by my head or on my chest. She even became best friends with our 7 year old cat Pumpkin.
Here it is 6 weeks later and Princess is doing awesome. She is the most laid back kitten you have ever seen. She is very playful and loves to be snuggled and kissed. She even kisses you back. When you picked her up, she just goes limp. Even my 22 month old daughter Kennedy can picked her up and carry her around and she just lays there. She is awesome with Kennedy.
I am so VERY HAPPY with the whole experience and Princess has been such a wonderful addition to the family. I would recommend Penny to anyone. I guarantee you will be as happy as we are.
Sherry
5-31-05 In June, I will become the proud owner of my first Ragdoll, Willow. I found Penny Pomplin as I was searching for information regarding Ragdolls on the internet. It turned out they weren't very far away from my home, which was great because it was important to me to meet the people raising the cats as well as see the conditions in which the cats live. I didn't know what to expect when I first visited Penny's home. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. Penny was very welcoming and friendly. She allowed me to tour the cattery. I was very impressed with the conditions in which the cats live. She has done a great job giving the cats every comfort that a cat could possibly want. It was apparent how much pride Penny takes in raising her cats. She truly loves her Ragdolls and it shows. Penny has allowed me to visit with my kitty which has meant a lot to me. I have been able to begin bonding with her and getting to know her personality. It turns out that Willow is just like me, very independent. Penny has done a great job of sending me pictures of Willow often. She spends a great amount of time taking pictures of the kittens and e-mailing them to their owners. She uses nice backgrounds which gives the pictures a professional look. Penny also puts together a baby book for each kitten to be given to the kitten's owner when they take their kitten home. Each kitten also has a little blanket that goes home with them. I highly recommend purchasing a Ragdoll kitty from Penny Pomplin. She loves her cats and it shows through all the hard work she does to make all her cats feel comfortable and loved. She spends quite a bit of time with her cats and knows each one very well. I would be happy to answer any questions anyone may have. I can be contacted at (920) 426-5620. Thank You Penny for bringing Willow into my life. Tanya
12-05-05 I am so happy to have my little Emmy.....and she is happy too! She and the dog are actually pals now....
I highly recommend Penny to anyone considering adding a Ragdoll cat to their family. From the very begining Penny was very warm, friendly and easy to talk to. All of the kittens that we saw were beautiful, loving, little sweethearts that were so obviously cared for and loved very much. I am grateful that Penny took such good care of my kitten Emmy in her first weeks of life because now Emmy is well socialized, easily adjusted to our home, and has the capacity to love her new family so very much. This was such a wonderful experience - Thank You! Nicole. |
